While more modern systems support identity federation standards such as OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect, the federal government utilizes many legacy systems and has heavily invested in a SAML federation standard. And since we’re committed to building an identity ecosystem that works for everyone, we’re happy to announce our commitment to adding SAML to our federation interfaces by the first quarter of 2020.
